Adapted to your school grounds or a site local to your school, the Forest School approach can be tailored to different age groups and is essentially child-led and gives pupils the opportunity to learn key skills and concepts in a practical and meaningful way.
Activities are designed to promote learning through experimentation, problem solving and to offer teachers the chance to observe the children in the community of their peers. The sessions can be developed alongside your class topics.
A morning of outdoor activities, delivered in your school grounds, then using these experiences to create pieces of writing that explore children's creativity.
Working in partnership with Durham University & Northumberland College, Sc.out.ed deliver Forest Schools at Durham Botanic Gardens and Kirkley Hall in their magical woodland settings.
